GNU Window Maker is a window manager for the X window system. It is intended to give a clean and elegant interface that is easy to use and configure. All (or at least almost all) of it can be configured through graphical interfaces.

Some of it's features include:

ICCCM compliant;
support for GNOME, KDE and other proprietary toolkits;
support for GNUstep;
quickly accessible multiple workspaces;
graphically configurable, while still providing a reasonable amount of configurability;
support for many types of decoration textures;
flexible menus for launching applications;
operations for treating windows that belong to a single application as a whole, like hide application, dock application for later reuse etc;
drag and drop support;
application dock configurable by drag and drop for holding frequently used applications and system monitors (dockapps);
localization support;
support for many systems, including GNU/Linux, FreeBSD and other proprietary operating systems;
